Puddle Jumping
There are puddles all over my home. No, we don't have a leak. Nor has it been raining.Where are they coming from, you ask.Oh, just my baby that's where!Little Bear is teething.Teething...At three-and-a-half-months-old. Girlfriend is leaking like a bucket with a hole. We've spent most days as of late rockin' the onesie look (her, not me) because no matter what we put on her, it's soaked. Soaked. We have also figured out that she takes her favorite teething toys everywhere she goes! She's got Sophie the Giraffe- nope, not SophieHow about teething rings with the cool gel that you can chill? Nope, not those either. Then her favorite is definitely her blanket. Nope, wrong again.Fingers. Her favorite teething toys are her fingers. Or mine. Or Daddy's or whoever is holding her. She will slobber, gnaw and essentially gum your fingers to the point of wrinkling. Kind of like when you stay in the bathtub too long. There's nothing quite like the sound of a baby sucking on her fingers. It's adorable and completely gross at the same time. An odd thing to hear, for sure. Along with the slobber sounds comes the actual slobber. Did someone replace my baby with the dog from Beethoven? At least she's not peeing in shoes. We find ourselves twisting, dodging and matrix-ing away from the steady stream of drool. We've been really lucky so far, she's been in a good mood overall, just the drool. I'll be interested to see when the little chompers make their appearance. So far, it's only the water-works.We've been supporting the healthy function of her body and pain management with some diluted lavender essential oil along her jawline if necessary. If anything, it just makes her calmer. Two-slobbery-thumbs- up!Do you have a teether or know someone who does? Little Bear has JUST made it one full week sleeping through the night. Fingers crossed teething doesn't throw her off!Be Great,M
